"As part of the continuous improvement of our bank statement processing in SAP, we decided to migrate from our previous solution to the EBS Workbench. A key driver was the need for greater transparency, more intuitive and simplified rule maintenance, and a sustainably higher level of automation."

Shortly after implementation, we were already able to observe significant improvements:

  • The maintenance and analysis of posting rules have become considerably more intuitive and efficient.
  • The single-screen view with direct drill-down capabilities is particularly valuable, providing immediate access to all relevant information.
  • Relationships between transactions and rules are clearly visible, enabling quick adjustments without the risk of unintended side effects.
  • Rule analysis and optimization can be performed at any time, without requiring test cycles or reprocessing of data.

In terms of automation, the solution has exceeded our expectations. While we initially anticipated a lower automation rate due to the transition to CAMT.053, we achieved over 80% within just a few days. Today, we operate at a stable automation rate of over 90%, with further optimization potential.

Another major benefit is the integrated reporting:

From aggregated KPI metrics on automation rates down to individual bank statement line items, we can navigate into details at any time. The root causes of non-automated postings are immediately identifiable and can be addressed in a targeted manner. This level of end-to-end transparency was not available to us before.

In addition, we successfully automated the processing of payment advices, further simplifying and accelerating our accounts receivable processes as well as the reconciliation of payment service providers.

Overall, we are particularly impressed by the combination of high flexibility, transparency, and the ability for business users to independently enhance and develop the solution. EBS Workbench has become a key component in the sustainable automation of our financial processes."
